Pooja Patel, NP, earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing from Chamberlain University College of Nursing. She is credentialed with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a family nurse practitioner.
Biography
Prior to joining James River Cardiology, she worked as a registered nurse with HCA—Chippenham Hospital (last 4 yrs) and served as the clinical coordinator on the arrhythmia care unit, where she cared for patients with arrhythmias, heart failure, and coronary artery disease and those preparing for and recovering from procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, cardiac ablations, direct current cardioversions, ICD, and pacemaker placements.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves to travel, try new cuisines, read, and spend time outdoors, especially by the beach.
